State of Origin and AUS Championship one week away

We are now just one week away from the start of our annual State of Origin and National title weekend at Port Macqaurie's Pacific Park International Raceway.

What better location than the NSW Mid North Coast holiday location and a freshly resurfaced 1km circuit to host the 2 full 6 hour races that will determine the State of Origin winners and our National Champions in both the Maxx and Sportsman classes.

Current Maxx class champions, Queensland based CNH Warspeed are keen to retain the Green A1 plate and have shown great form toward the end of 2018 and early 2019 but their closest competition is sure to come from fellow Qld, team Force Phantom. If either of these teams slip up a number of NSW teams will be waiting to spoil the party.

The sportsman class is wide open and the S1 white and purple plate could go to any number teams. You could be forgiven for thinking the sportsman class isn't as competitive but this class has a lot of teams jostling for the top 3 steps. The first 2 rounds of the NSW championship has seen the Gardiner Racing Team, CIA Racing and Karting Solutions finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Once again the Queensland guys have any number of teams ready to claim the S1 plate.

Practice and qualifying begins Saturday morning 4th May with a 6 hour race to follow later in the day. Teams will have Saturday night to refresh, socialize and make changes before a second 6 hour race beginning Sunday morning.

The SEK State of Origin is brought to you by Lifestyle Autos Karting Solutions.
